The Private Client Personal Lines Broker in our Vancouver office will be a member of our Canadian Private Client Sales team and receive operational support from our Client Service Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new Personal Lines business from all sources, including the Willis Towers Watson community of existing relationships and from third party Centers of Influence.

The Role

The Private Client Personal Lines Broker in our Vancouver office will be a member of our Canadian Private Client Sales team and receive operational support from our Client Service Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new Personal Lines business from all sources, including the Willis Towers Watson community of existing relationships and from third party Centers of Influence. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Represent Willis Towers Watson in a manner that helps eliminate frustration and complexity from the personal insurance experience

  • Work with the commercial and health & benefits units at WTW to systematically present the WTW personal lines value proposition to stakeholders who have elements of scale and complexity in their personal risk profile

  • Actively engage with new and existing high net worth leads from all sources to sell the rationale for using a broker, changing brokers, or changing carriers

  • Create and prioritize a pipeline of prospects from outside of the Willis Towers Watson client world by leveraging existing relationships in the high net worth space and developing new relationships with Centers of Influence such as real estate agents, wealth managers, car dealers and anyone else serving the luxury segment

  • Assess lifestyle risks of potential insureds; counsel and recommend coverage with the highest level of integrity and expertise

  • Achieve monthly quota of new business in an environment encouraging transparency into pipeline and activity

  • Collaborate effectively with our client and carrier contact team that will handle some data entry, processing, carrier contact and client follow up

  • Handle all files according to established processes and protocols; contribute to refinement of these internal procedures

  • Take ownership of complex or escalated client issues

The Requirements

  • High School diploma required. Post-Secondary Education preferred.

  • Insurance License or ability to obtain a broker’s license in all geography of assigned territory

  • Commitment to ongoing formal accreditation or industry education

  • Experience handling insurance needs of successful families and individuals

  • Experience using EPIC Client Management System, strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Motivated and driven personality.

  • Able to take initiative and prioritize their own time while collaborating from a distance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Mandarin fluency highly desirable

  • Proven ability to develop meaningful relationships with successful families and individuals

  • Ability to obtain a broker’s license in all geography of assigned territory
