Responsible for business development with accountability for the management of our HSA, FSA and HRA business. The Benefits Accounts Sales Engineer will develop relationships with CDG, Outsourcing and Group Marketplace client relationship staff and will be responsible for assisting with sales support for all potential Benefits Accounts prospects.

The Role

Relationship Management

  • Understand the Benefits Accounts business and needs

  • Identify CDG and decision makers within outsourcing and group marketplace, establish and maintain active relationships with these key partners

  • Provide accounts technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required

  • Liaise with key sales team members and build strong relationships

  • Facilitates the transition of relationships to others within Benefits Accounts after the sale

  • Work with the solution architect to coordinating activities

  • Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams and with solution architect within Benefits Accounts

  • Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize the penetration of key target markets

Clients

  • Work with BDA leadership to develop segmented target lists and lead the outreach efforts to existing WTW clients and prospects

  • Lead and manage multiple prospecting opportunities including RFP support

  • Provide prospects system demonstrations as requested

  • Finalize and present sales presentation and collateral to prospects

  • Ensure progress against established pipeline in chasing and securing new work

Excellence

  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches to the sale of account services

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for sales of account services

People

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

  • Partner and communicate effectively in a team environment with consultants, developers and other team members

  • Participate in local, regional and national meetings as requested (external and internal)

The Requirements

As a Benefits Accounts Sales Engineer you will serve a key role by serving as the link between benefits accounts and the team sales and client deliver teams for outsourcing and group marketplace. You will contribute to the sales and marketing for the teams that engage with prospective client that are new to our Benefits Deliver and Administrative services or existing clients that do not yet use Willis Towers Watson for accounts. You will also develop relationships with CDG as we begin to prospect for clients that do not use any other WTW administrative services. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical, analytical, problem solving, leadership, communication and sales skills. Note that this role will involve travel to prospect sites.

  • Experience in benefits accounts sector with HSAs, FSAs and HRAs

  • Knowledge of benefit accounts and market trends

  • Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, colleagues and external specialists

  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Good organizational skills in terms of managing workload, planning and organization

  • Teamwork

  • Provide value added consulting on marketing opportunities to support sales

  • Assist with analyzing, defining and documenting responses to RFP requirements

  • Provide ongoing technical, sales and marketing support to sales team

  • Demonstrate the use of systems and create storylines to support our value proposition

  • Ensure systems perform according to broker and client approved specification

  • Flexibility with regard to regional travel that can range from 10-50%

  • An undergraduate degree is preferred
