The Role

The Assistant Client Support Specialist (ACSS) is an entry level position is primarily a support function where the incumbent will gain foundational skills in Property and Casualty Insurance. The ACSS will provide day to day client service to develop exposure workbooks, program design and final proposals for clients and prospects. The candidate for this role will work closely with our Atlanta Office on the firefighters or municipalities insurance program. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering customer phone call inquiries regarding special program/coverages.

  • Entering, manipulating and maintaining data in applicable systems such as Epic, and various Microsoft Office products.

  • Using data, appropriate templates, and analytical capability to develop custom documents, lists, and workbooks in support of various stages of pre-placement activities.

  • Maintaining knowledge of market trends and changes.

  • Identifying, engaging and coordinating expert resources across various Client Service Teams and Centers to smoothly and efficiently complete joint work/process steps.

  • Tracking scope of services.

  • Preparing summaries of current programs, expiring exposures and loss histories.

  • Obtaining loss runs as needed for marketing

  • Obtaining experience modifications.

  • Checking market security/FATCA and address exceptions, and obtaining approval as applicable

  • Preparing draft submission documents

  • Coordinating information from all resources and preparing program proposals

  • Researching client/carrier accounting issues

  • Requesting and ensuring timely delivery of invoices

  • Ensuring timely and accurate issuance and delivery of certificates of insurance and auto ID cards

  • Reviewing and delivering audits and coordinating mid-term accounting adjustments as needed

The Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a related field of study preferred

  • Holds a current 440 License

  • Friendly and strong customer service background, including heavy phone usage (call center experience preferred)

  • Up to 3 years of professional experience working in a professional office environment ideal

  • Prior Property and Casualty insurance knowledge and experience strongly preferred but not required

  • Must have, or be able to obtain insurance licenses, as required by state law, within 60 days of employment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including both phone conversation and email communication etiquette, must haves.

  • Basic to intermediate level MS Office skills (exposure to Excel pivot tables creation/manipulation a plus)

  • Attention to detail and process orientation extremely helpful.

  • Problem solving abilities, including critical thinking, and quantitative skills preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and/or perform complex processes with variable work inputs and outputs is required

  • Time management and organizational skills combined with a strong Customer Service focus mandatory.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment required.
