The Business Analyst-Quality Assurance Engineer, work

with the RSG Channel team including the test and requirements leads, and the

retirement practice to develop and support new Channel. Responsibilities will

include: understanding and reviewing the requirements, work with the developers

to insure full understanding (for coding and unit testing), test plan writing

and test execution for both enhancements and bugs.

  • Test the requirements and the software, define testplans and execute testing working closely with all on the team

  • Requirements review and to a lesser extent requirementselaboration to detail in writing for example, test cases or storyboards

  • Relate the requirements to developers and improve,revise them in review and in-step with change

  • Support product quality and RSG process. Tier-2user support of Channel office Champions and other users.

The exact allocation of

responsibilities can be sorted out by the analyst with the channel test lead

and the RSG product manager.

Performance Objectives:


§ Ensure understanding of RSG quality framework, corporate PE

and apply within an identifiable SDLC to frame all work.


  • Ensurecontinuous skills development by completing development plans.

  • Beable to work as part of the virtual team (some hours adjustment/overlap).

  • Exhibit professionalism in the workplace

  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders covering(a) Progress made in last period (b) Planned deliverables, (c) Highlightissues / risks impacting progress.

  • Manage tracking and resolution of all support queriesraised in relation to products supported by RSG. Document common issues to speed responseand identify any product improvements needed.

  • Come up with recommendations for process and technologyimprovements/innovations.


  • Deliver the work committed in each sprint cycle, meeting all acceptance criteria. Work with the team and lead to identify the most cost effective way to deliver requirements, whilst meeting all acceptance criteria.

  • Achieve defined productivity targets


The Requirements

  • 2+ years ofexperience in the benefits practice working with our software, or 2+ yearsas a software Business Analyst

  • Quality focus related to software usage, inputs andoutput

  • Strong oral andwritten communication skills; team player

  • Self-sufficient creative problem solver capable ofindirect solutions

  • A passion to improve the product and for doing usersupport

  • Knowledge of projections of plan accounting/fundingresults a plus

  • Very good withExcel; a Swift-4 user is a plus

  • Desire to learn,accept new challenges and have fun

  • Job Location:open; based in any office

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Strong client service orientation

  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help when appropriate; Good problem solving ability

  • Sense of accountability; owning one’s work and taking pride in it

  • Experience in actuarial, forecasting valuation results

  • Experience with Quantify for at least Client/Plan screens and User management tab is a plus
