JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will provide overall sales enablement to support the Asset Management Exchange, Head of US Strategy & Business Development Leader, with client and account management research and analytic activities, and, support this practice in the industry, account and project management at all levels. The preferred location for the role is Stamford, CT, however, we will consider qualified candidates in New York, NY.

The Role

  • At the Client Team Level/Client, Industry & Competitor Research: Support client account planning process (research industry and client specific information, financial information and CIS data, review prior information, pre-populate the template, etc.).

  • Provide on-going and just-in-time client information to account teams by proactively monitoring Internet sites and industry materials for newsworthy items (earnings reports, buyers leaving/joining clients, press releases and research on emerging issues), and communicating to account teams accordingly.

  • Preparing account specific research to uncover potential business issues, points of entry, researching new buyer hubs, tracking key client stakeholders, updating client organization charts and developing buyer’s maps.

  • Client Financials/ Track revenues for client teams: Research client financials information requests or issues, create client-ready financial reports, provide coordination support for the RFP process, as directed by leadership, support the process by ensuring all aspects of the Sales and Client information tool is accurate/complete and entered in a timely manner. This includes auditing client contact information, client lead information, client meeting notes and account plans, communicating and working with colleagues on updates and other related requests.

  • Attend internal client meetings, as requested, and translate meeting notes into actionable follow-up activities; provide proactive follow-up.

  • At the local office level: help awareness, adoption and usage of sales tools with Account Directors and Business Developers, enhance the Sharepoint site to ensure one stop shop for all sales needs, collaborate with the team, marketing and office leaders for ongoing sales engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement best practice in sales support material, support the local New York office account planning activities, review account plans for trends and opportunities and provide other sales support as needed.

  • You will also be responsible for the business scorecard, prepare reports for the leadership team and report on progress for key metrics and campaigns.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 0 to 4 years related work experience

  • Strong research and project management skills

  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative problem solver

  • Ability to produce consistently high-quality results under tight deadlines

  • Resourceful, proactive self-starter with the ability to think ahead

  • Outstanding technical skill in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Access a plus

  • Demonstrated expertise with PowerPoint charts and graphs

  • Previous experience in a similar sales support role and/or in a professional services environment is a plus
