The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Implementation Consultant (cum Project Manager) who has 2+ years’ of demonstrated experience in controlling projects in a formal project environment.

The ideal candidate will have business and/or client facing experience with an aptitude for the delivery of our cutting-edge SAAS technology based projects. You will be directing multiple Flexible Benefits projects which include elements of technology implementation, employee communication materials and scheme consultancy. You will typically be working in cross-functional teams delivering projects for our strategic clients in the APAC region.

You will be conversant with the principles of controlled project environments and be able to demonstrate the use of accepted project control tools.

The successful candidate will have a hands on approach to project delivery, be able to understand technical requirements, have excellent communication skills, and be target and delivery focused.

Performance Objectives:


  • Project Management:

  • Project management of our corporate clients in the APAC region

  • Analyse and define business and system requirements, recommends solutions to improve the clients’ business processes

  • Identify and escalate risk and issues in order to ensure optimum client deliver experience

  • Create and execute project communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among the internal team and with the client

  • Lead status review meetings and calls among project team members and clients

  • Ensure business requirements are controlled in accordance with the agreed project scope

  • Perform basic system configurations to meet business requirements. Where necessary, work with internal team for more complex system configurations.

  • Identify and recommend contingency measures in conjunction with the project team

  • Provide subject matter expertise of our software and our delivery methodology as a stand-alone representative

  • Work with Regional Implementation Lead on Sales support where necessary:

  • Provide system demo to client prospects and display good depth of functional knowledge. Organizes, manages, and plans client due diligence, when required.

  • Providing technical support on contractual discussions, ensuring administrative scope is clearly documented within this SOW and costed.

  • Support the tracking of our opportunities pipeline and ensuring that appropriate resources are assigned in a timely manner.

  • Work with other Implementation Consultants and Project Managers to contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery methodology through sharing of internal lessons learnt.

People Management

  • Leads by example and maintains a collaborative spirit and strong relationships at all levels.

  • Serve as mentor and resource for business analysts and less experienced Implementation Consultants

  • Train, coach and mentor Implementation Consultants in all aspects of software delivery (client requirements, configuration, QA, UAT, deployment and post deployment support)

  • Advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.

  • Promote effective team communication

  • Promote a positive workplace environment


  • Determine, monitor, and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, resources, and risk.

  • Ensure minimal project scope creep, raising change requests where appropriate.

  • Identify and manage out-of-scope work and manage budget impacts

  • Utilize standard work processes, tools, and methodologies to improve quality and profitability

The Requirements


  • An undergraduate degree in information technology, information systems or computer science is required

  • 2+ years’ demonstrated Implementation Consulting experience in managing medium to large projects on remote delivery model basis

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proven project, leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential;

  • Previous experience in managing the delivery of HR Information System will be an advantage;

  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills are essential (verbal and written);

  • Effective time management, analytical and problem solving skills;

  • Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency;

  • Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to read, understand and communicate requirements documentation;

  • Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced project environment

  • Competent in project and office software including MS Projects and MS Office projects;

  • Ability to travel (5% – 20%, dependant on project) across Asia Pacific region, when required
