Position Scope:

Towers Watson’s Individual Product Team is looking for an experienced product manager to help us build the next generation of health insurance marketplace products. As a product manager, you will work with our stakeholders to envision new features and improve existing ones. You will work with engineering and design to realize your vision by defining the product and overseeing its development through design, development, and testing. To succeed in this role, you will need to draw from your technical knowledge, research abilities and problem-solving skills. Ultimately, you will play a key role in creating software that helps our customers make critically important health care decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meet with WTW clients and individual customers stakeholders to understand the needs of our users and stakeholders.

  • Manage a roadmap and vision for a product or select group of products.

  • Identify new opportunities for the company and your product and create initiatives to pursue them.

  • Build and maintain a data-driven business case for your ideas and initiatives; keep tabs on the market, competition and regulatory changes to make sure your business case is compelling and defensible.

  • Create workflows, user stories, diagrams, specifications and other artifacts to communicate your vision to engineering and design stakeholders.

  • Work with development teams and stakeholders to prioritize development work items including user stories and bugs.

  • Represent the product management team and interests in cross-functional meetings which can include planning, legal, sales, and marketing discussions and projects.

  • Assist with sales and product marketing activities for your product(s) as needed.

  • Lead teams comprised of UX, Development and Quality Assurance resources and shepherd work items through an agile development process (Scrum).

  • Continually evaluate your product to justify your business case and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of product management experience with consumer web applications, mobile apps, enterprise software solutions or CRM software; health and health care related experience is preferred but not necessary.

  • Experience with user research techniques and data analysis techniques is strongly preferred.

  • Hands on software development experience of some kind is preferred but not necessary.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with project management, stakeholders, design, engineering, and QA.

  • Experience in establishing, managing and maintaining telephony and CRM technology.

  • Experience with Jira, Sketch, Visio, MS Project, Adobe Creative Suite applications or similar.

  • Experience with health care public policy or experience in a heavily regulated environment.

  • Experience creating and delivering health care software products.

  • Experience in agile project management and planning.
