The Role

This Senior-level client services position provides strategic relationship management and consultative services to Large and Complex clients with a particular focus on areas such as Property, Real Estate and Government Contracting. As the leader of the client service team, this role is responsible to marshal the Willis Towers Watson resources to provide coordinated service and placement to meet the client’s insurance and risk management needs. Applicant should have significant knowledge of large deductible/loss sensitive programs, shared and layered property programs, captive utilization and contractual risk transfer experience. This position is responsible to ensure that relevant regulatory and technical standards are met. Leverages advanced skill set with P&C knowledge to design and consult with clients on insurance coverage and services; uses understanding of clients’ needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client relationships. Ability to focus on delivering exceptional client service while working in a fast paced environment is necessary. High levels of organization and computer skills are required.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with large and complex clients while understanding clients’ business and advising on key risk and insurance issues

  • Consults with and advises clients, in coordination with the client team, to identify risk exposures, client’s risk appetite, and risk management priorities for the purpose of designing appropriate insurance programs

  • Leads the client service team consisting of client service specialists, brokers, risk control consultants and claims consultants, providing strategic advice to clients and team members

  • Manages the client renewal process to ensure successful client outcomes

  • Manages sanctions and other regulatory procedures

  • Manages internal teams focusing on high levels of communication and support

  • Coordinates all client services including brokering support, account management and post placement services within an insurance brokerage environment

  • Coordinates claims review meetings, in conjunction with assigned claims consultants

  • Collaborates with brokers on coverage, program structure, and loss and risk analysis

  • Assists in resolving client, carrier and/or vendor issues

  • Responsible for contract review and coverage recommendations

  • Supports office cross selling efforts and other company growth initiatives

  • Supports team with proposals and RFP presentations to clients and prospects

  • Develop the allocation methodology and coordinate billing allocations as needed

  • Lead special projects as required

The Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years insurance experience in a commercial Property & Casualty brokerage environment with success in client service, account management and placement

  • BA/BS Degree in insurance, finance or related field a plus

  • Advanced designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM desirable

  • Ability to work in a consultative team environment, effectively lead a team and support and develop junior colleagues on the team

  • Requires a thorough understanding of complex risk programs

  • Requires a thorough understanding of domestic and international liability insurance coverage as well as statutory coverages such as Defense base Act ,and Workers Compensation

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service and team building skills. This position will be client-facing

  • Requires strong organizational and critical thinking mentality

  • Strong PC skills including advanced Excel skills

  • Property & Casualty and other state licenses required
