The Senior Consolidation Accountant will be responsible for activities related to the preparation of timely and accurate consolidated monthly financial statements, leading month-end close and consolidation processes, including reconciliation and elimination of intercompany and internal equity transactions. Role supports the internal and external audit and quarterly review process by resolving questions and providing requested schedules in a timely manner, provides support to the SEC Reporting team as requested, and maintains compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures, in addition to maintaining up-to-date process documentation for all tasks, implement process improvements, as appropriate, to simplify, standardize and streamline efforts, and support ad-hoc financial information requests and analyses.

The Role

  • Completion of activities related to month-, quarter-, and year-end consolidations, closings and/or financial statements.

  • Account reconciliations and analysis related to key accounts on the consolidated financial statements

  • Preparation of, and review of consolidation related journal entries to ensure impact to the consolidated financial statements is accurate.

  • Serve as a key resource for special projects with the ability to both lead as well as provide meaningful contributions.

  • Maintain the integrity of the consolidation hierarchy structure; ensuring data accuracy and completeness in applicable system.

  • Assist in conducting review of internal processes and controls, and implementing process improvements as related to the financial consolidations processes.

  • Perform balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow reviews to ensure consolidated financial statements are accurate.

  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct manager.

  • Serve as a key point of contact in response to audit requests.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 5+ years related experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices, particularly those frequently utilized in the consolidation of financial statements.

  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP), analytical and reporting, and consolidation systems (Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle FDM, etc.).

  • Experience with financial consolidations including intercompany, and minority/equity accounting practices.

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Prior experience in a multi-location accounting environment preferred.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.

  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
