In this role you will focus on financial performance and service delivery of retirement services within the Montreal market, which covers Quebec, the Maritimes and Ottawa. You will collaborate with the Head of Retirement, Canada Operations, the Head of Retirement, Canada Growth, Market Leaders and other Montreal leaders to effectively execute the Retirement business plan. You’ll also be asked to contribute your thought leadership to the overall development of the Retirement practice as a member of the Canadian Retirement leadership team. Your contribution will impact not only market revenue, but also the regional P&L, Willis Towers Watson’s global brand and market share. In addition to your internal leadership role, you will be the lead retirement consultant for number of significant organizations. In this role you will be responsible for deepening and expanding client relationships, bringing forward intellectual capital, growing our revenues and for the financial management of these relationships. You will also be active in the marketplace in pursuit of new clients for the company.


  • Operations management and Growth responsibilities: Contribute to the development of plans and budgets. Deliver planned performance including LOB utilization, Lead Consultant Revenue growth, controllable contribution, transition of work to Centers of Excellence and market share growth in accordance with the Montreal and Canadian line of business (LOB) plans.


  • Member of Retirement Region Leadership Team : Manage, support and execute major Retirement projects and business development initiatives to retain current clients, expand existing relationships and increase market share. Act as a change agent. Participate on Retirement cross functional teams and promote collaboration and teamwork within the office team, market and region.

  • Member of local market leadership team : Work with the Market Leaders, Head of Retirement, Canada Operations and Head of Retirement, Canada Growth to ensure cross-LOB collaboration and identify business development opportunities and develop strategic business plans for the LOB that support the strategic direction of the business and the local market. Help initiate and drive new business development opportunities with clients and prospective organizations.

  • People management and development: Actively integrate and build team resources into an effective client service delivery team. Develop and execute on strategic staffing plans, including all people processes e.g., attracting and maintaining engagement and retention of key talent, providing appropriate training and career growth opportunities for all colleagues, performance management and salary and bonus planning.


  • Client relationship management and delivery: Responsible for all aspects of local delivery of Willis Towers Watson products and services for the LOB. Collaborate with Client Relationship Directors, Head of Retirement Sales and Marketing and Head of Retirement Intellectual Capital to develop local market client strategies to deepen, broaden and build profitable relationships, including the management and deployment of staff to effectively deliver client work.

  • Lead retirement consultant: Responsible for meeting personal consulting and sales objectives.


  • Work Quality/Manage risk: Working with the Head of Retirement Policies and Procedures, focus on Professional Excellence work quality processes, measures and continuous improvement. Help develop standardized work processes within the LOB, which will improve quality and profitability.

  • Subject matter expertise , thought leadership: Contribute to the development of priority services and consulting processes and demonstrate deep consulting capability in one or more competency areas.

The requirements :

  • Experience and success in leadership roles

  • Facilitate interactions among Retirement groups within the Montreal office to enhance career development, work quality and operational effectiveness.

  • Proven ability to generate revenue and manage a profitable P&L

  • Track record of success in managing large client relationships

  • Proven success in the design/management of Retirement programs to large organizations gained in a consulting environment

  • An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills

  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization

  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in Retirement approaches and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches

  • Flexibility with regard to travel

  • An undergraduate degree is required
