The Business

Affinity is a Line of Business within the Corporate Risk and Broking Segment of WTW (CRB). We operate in specific countries where we have seen and quantified the potential and where we have or can deploy dedicated teams with the expertise and capabilities to implement Affinity programs aligned to our Business Model, and where WTW management has the appetite to provide support, invest and compete.

Our Strategy has been designed to help us achieve a sustainable level of Super Normal Growth – that is a level of revenue growth above that achieved within the wider CRB business – and a higher than average profit margin. To be successful delivering Super Normal Growth and meet our objectives requires the execution of a clear and focussed Client Value Proposition, focussing on where we compete, how we compete, a consistent sales process, and a consistent solution – all executed by recognised Affinity experts.

The Role

We are currently looking for an Affinity Partnerships Development Manager in Italy, position based in Milan. This is an important senior management position reporting in the Affinity Leader for Italy and supporting him in leading the business development activities of the line of business in this important market.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To be recognised as a leading Affinity expert in Italy contributing to the development and execution of the Affinity business strategy within and as a part of the overall CRB strategy.

  • Delivers agreed Affinity Revenues and Profits Targets.

  • Has a relevant role in delivering wins in the following industries: Banks, Leasing Companies and Credit Card Issuers, Mobile Network Operators, Utilities, Automotive and Motor

  • Plans, leads and executes complex sales and client management process, leading colleagues in the sales process to develop and prioritise opportunities, manages the sales funnel.

  • Works collaboratively with the WTW local management and client relationship stakeholders and the wider Affinity team in order to guarantee business integration and leverage business synergies.

  • Coaches and Develops team members.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct Risk: To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business.

The Requirements

• Knowledge of the Italian Affinity market and of the wider global market in terms of opportunities, insurers, competitors.

• Capacity to work collaboratively, influencing diverse stake holder groups, and working as part of a wider multi-discipline and multi-solutions management group in a matrix environment in order to guarantee business integration and leverage business synergies.

• Outstanding decision making skills, communication skills, relationship-building skills, influencing skills.

• Technology and digital as well as project and process management skills would be an important plus.
