The Business

Towers Watson’s Risk Consulting and Software (RCS) business helps clients improve business performance relating to insurance. We use our deep analytical skills to solve practical business problems, applying the latest techniques and software solutions to help clients measure and manage risk and capital, grow revenue and create competitive advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our new RCS Reserving Support Team (RST) based in our Mexico City office. The RST will be a center of expertise, tasked with performing reserving analysis in partnership with North American RCS teams. Using standardized processes, this team will specialize in setting up projects and creating exhibits.

Provide services as:

  • Loss reserving software and implementation support

  • Product and market strategies, including pricing and predictive modelling

  • Financial modelling and regulatory reporting

  • Enterprise risk and capital management, merger & acquisition and corporate restructuring

The Role

As an Analyst in the RST, you will work collaboratively with Sr. Analysts and Project Managers in North America to perform reserving work using Towers Watson software such as ResQ. You will provide data and exhibit support on a variety of projects under the direction of an RST Manager or RST Senior Analyst. This role requires that you maintain working knowledge of software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ResQ).

Maintains understanding of loss reserving methodologies and expert knowledge of software. Provides data manipulation, spreadsheet maintenance, technical review and exhibit support for North American projects under the direction of a Manager or Senior Analyst.

Performance Objectives :


  • Partner with the RST Manager, as well as Sr. Analysts and Consultants in North America to provide reserving support on client projects for North America

  • Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes


  • Develop technical knowledge and skills in the area of reserving

  • Perform technical reviews of work products

  • Deliver high quality work products to meet or exceed client expectations

  • Follow all Professional Excellence standards


  • Meet billable hour goals as described by manager


  • Build relationships internally and collaborate and communicate effectively with North American teams

The Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal English skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Actuarial Science and Mathematics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access;

  • Experience with Visual Basic is helpful.

  • Ability to work both independently and on client teams.

  • Willing to work extensive hours during the busy season.
