Summary of Role

As a Investment Analyst within our Delegated business you will will support a number of internal groups responsible for the devising, setting and management of client portfolios. This support will include the setting of portfolio’s investment objectives, maintenance of investment models, additional portfolio analysis, manager selection, performance measurement and evaluation and investment manager monitoring.

  • Ability to take ownership for internal projects, both regular and ah-hoc in relation to portfolio management.

  • Write and review reports in a timely and effective manner for internal consideration

  • Assist in production of materials for internal meetings covering investment decisions and market research

People

  • Build strong relationships internally in the Portfolio Management Group and collaborate effectively on across other key teams (Client Consultants, Structured products, Manager Research etc.).

  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with colleagues at all levels.

  • Periodic involvement with relevant technical working parties.

Internal

  • Deal with Researchers and Consultants in order to aid portfolio management process in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Support senior team members in construction and delivery of presentations to internal groups.

  • Deal with both more senior and junior colleagues on a day to day basis

The Requirements

  • Minimum 2:1 degree is required along with progress towards or willingness to study for relevant professional qualifications, such as CFA, FIA or equivalent.

  • Advanced presentation skills.

  • Interest in investment issues and desire to deepen knowledge over time.

  • Knowledge and understanding of different asset classes.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver timely and accurate solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels (senior and junior) to deliver a high quality of work.

  • Good IT (especially Excel and PowerPoint) skills.
