Overview

The

role of the Group Risk & Compliance team is

  • to lead the management and co-ordination of Willis TowersWatson Group Compliance policies and procedures

  • to identify applicable regulatoryrequirements and implement relevant processes to enable standards to be met andprovide guidance and training as necessary.

  • toassist with the management and co-ordination of the requirements of theregulator.

The role

The aim of this role is

to support the team’s drive to improve standards across the Group and provide consistent

quality of Compliance monitoring and advice.

Specifically responsible for assisting on Compliance projects as the

need arises:

  • providingCompliance support andleadership in regulatory investigations and their remediation

  • providingsenior compliance support and leadership for a range of significant projectswith regulatory implications for the Company as required.

The requirements

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent. It ishighly likely that the job holder will also have a relevant professionalqualification – legal, accountancy or business, e.g. Chartered InsuranceInstitute.

  • The candidate should have been significant experience of working in a senior operational, compliance, risk, audit or legalrole.

  • Strong regulatory and corporategovernance knowledge/understanding.

  • Managerial or professionalexperience within an insurance broking or insurance environment or within ahighly-regulated business environment.

  • Proactiverather than reactive.

  • Teamplayer with good interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Abilityto work under pressure to tight timelines and without direct supervision.

  • Organisedand methodical.

  • Excellentanalytical problem-solving skills.

  • Strongcommunication skills, both orally and in writing.

  • Commercialawareness – a commercial and pragmatic approach to managingcompliance.

  • Fluentbusiness English essential.

  • ITliterate – knowledge of Microsoft office packages needed.
