JOB DESCRIPTION

Internal Compensation Manager working closely with the Compensation Lead for GB & International to:

  • Manage the delivery of a wide range of compensation programs and projects within the GB and International (Latin America, CEEMEA, Asia, Australasia).geographies

  • Support the analysis, design, implementation and communication of broad-based compensation strategy including sales compensation and short-term incentives

  • Ensuring WTW’s broad-based compensation programs are competitive, sustainable, and have an impact on WTW’s short and long-term strategic goals, aligning to WTW pay for performance philosophy.

The Role

  • Manage the annual compensation review cycle for client groups, including advising on country salary increase budgets, allocation of short and long term incentive awards and sales incentive awards

  • Deliver a variety of compensation projects e.g. annual benchmarking/pre-planning, salary structure, bonus and LTI targets review/development, job titles/codes and review and monitoring of the recognition program

  • Partner with HR Partners and various leadership teams to identify and address current and emerging total compensation trends and issues

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans, which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives

  • Supporting the implementation, of new compensation initiatives and processes globally, taking a lead role on projects or sub-streams

  • Leading the communication and education of compensation-related programs as appropriate ensuring the business embeds its total reward philosophy

  • Collaborating with Finance on salary budgets, colleague /compensation cost tracking etc

  • Ensuring compensation programs are administered in compliance with policies and government regulations through audits and reports

  • Work with stakeholders to interpret current and proposed compensation requirements, determine impact, ensure compliance and develop appropriate policies and tools

  • Keep up to date with global and local compensation requirements, working with key stakeholders and HR Partners to ensure understanding and that compensation strategies are delivered in line with corporate, global and local requirements.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance or Mathematics or equivalent experience

  • Substantial reward experience, preferably in the Financial Services or Insurance industry

  • Broad knowledge of compensation issues including regulatory compensation, trends, best practices. Understanding of GB and International compensation practices would be beneficial

  • Experience in designing incentive plans, including sales incentives

  • Experience in managing compensation processes with the ability to build consensus across a wide range of stakeholders

  • Experience of operating in a matrixed, fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to engage and manage numerous stakeholders with various requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency in People Soft or Oracle HRIS preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage priorities and expectations, and to lead project teams

  • Ability to build relationships and manage key stakeholders, up to senior level

  • Ability to think strategically, as well as lead and coach more junior members of the team, particularly with analytics and problem solving

  • High energy, pro-active and dynamic work-style, geared towards working in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
