Developing and maintaining internal reporting structures for the Cargo & Specie claims unit. Handling client and market interfaces in order to protect the interests of our clients, to aid in the attraction and retention of profitable business for the group, and to enhance the WTW brand.

The Role

Geographic Scope of Role:

The role will operate globally across Cargo & Specie

To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business.

Revenue Responsibilities:

Responsible for helping retain revenues in conjunction with the placement teams for those clients within your portfolio

Support Specialist / Claims Executive


  • Overseeing small and/or simple claims, acting as a liaison with the stakeholders as appropriate :

  • Working with account managers and other stakeholders with the aim of protecting the interests of the insured, and assisting the client in achieving the best result.

  • Liaising with Underwriters/Insurers in order to achieve the most appropriate claims outcomes.

  • Ensure adherence to standardised Group policies and procedures, including all WEM and other regulatory requirements


  • Liaising with colleagues and stakeholders in order to enhance the flow of information to both the client and account managers.

  • Build constructive relationships with clients, associated underwriters, and other third parties and service providers.

  • Ensure that collegues and stakeholders are supported in the prompt resolution of market-related loss issues and queries.

  • Ensure that colleagues and stakeholders are supported in ensuring that all financial aspects (including but not limited to Cash, QMS and Bureau debt) are managed and where possible pre-emptive action is taken at an appropriate level to avoid such issues occurring


  • Acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for senior staff in terms of reporting requirements.

  • Overseeing monthly and ad hoc internal and external claims reporting.

  • Client/Account focused reporting.

  • Acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on the larger accounts:

  • Liaising with the collegues and stakeholders on all claims on the account, in order to enhance reporting and information flow for account managers and the client.

  • Collating claims data for the client, and account managers.

The Requirements




  • Negotiation/People

  • Ability to speak Spanish, French, Italian or German (preferable)

  • Legal & Compliance Management


  • Good understanding of Insurance (preferably in Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie)

  • Client Relationship Management

  • Market Relationship Management

  • London Market Broking

  • Technical knowledge
