Willis Towers Watson’s Investments line of business provides investment advisory and delegated services to Pension funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Endowments, Foundations and Charities and Wealth Managers across the globe. The Role

You will play a key role in achieving our mission in Asia and with our clients. You will be instrumental in influencing the key decision makers in the region to achieve better values for their investment, and you will contribute significantly to the growth of our Asia business.

You will work closely with a portfolio of institutional clients, who look to you for holistic and practical investment solutions, to achieve better investment outcome given their specific situation. You will also be a key influencer in the Asia markets with a focus on Greater China, changing their way of investment thinking.

You will be a role model within our Asia team. Your colleagues will look up to you for the professionalism you show dealing with all stakeholders in the industry, and your dedication and perseverance to achieving your goals.

You will be supported by the team of investment professionals and experts in Asia and globally.

Performance Objectives:


  • Develop and maintain trusted partnership relationships with client contacts through problem solving, effective communication and provision of pragmatic and quality solutions specific to meeting their needs

  • Manage client expectations

  • Manage internal project team for quality and on time client delivery


  • Contribute to clients’ success through applying technical expertise and Willis Towers Watson intellectual capital

  • Uphold the highest level of quality of client delivery and integrity

  • Contribute to the development of Willis Towers Watson’s thought leadership and research, existing and new tools and approaches


  • Meet client and new business targets as agreed, making significant financial contributions to achieving the Asia team’s annual business plans and medium to long term business vision

  • Develop broader relationship with market participants and prospective clients

  • Develop new business strategy as agreed


  • Work in a seamless manner within the Willis Towers Watson global Investment team

  • Develop cooperative internal relationships with consultants from Willis Towers Watson’s other lines of business to assure that client expectations are met, and issues are resolved

  • Mentor and develop team members

The Requirements

  • Significant experience in the investment industry i.e. consulting, investment management, investment marketing or plan sponsor community (as a benchmark we would anticipate successful candidates having at least 10 years’ experience)

  • A highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity. An individual who is committed to lifelong learning, and adapts new knowledge with ease, agility and open mindedness.

  • A self-starter who strives to achieve goals

  • Must have excellent ability to build personal relationships and influence key decision makers. Have the maturity and professional experience necessary to interact and consult effectively with internal professional staff, clients, and other outside parties on an independent basis

  • Experience in generating new business and cultivating new clients would be highly valuable.

  • Knowledge of, and the ability to be conversant about, a wide range of investment management topics, including the capital markets, portfolio construction, derivative products, and investment theories.

  • Demonstrate accomplishments and success in working in a collegial professional environment where positive interaction and team working is required to fulfil clients’ needs

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) in a business context is essential.

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively at all levels of both Willis Towers Watson’s and client organisations

  • MBA and/or CFA or FSA / FIA / FIAA preferred
