The Business

The Talent & Rewards business combines advisory services, data and software to provide clients with integrated solutions that address their most complex human capital challenges. The Talent Line of Business consists of three practices: Talent Management & Organizational Alignment (TM&OA), Communication & Change Management (C&CM) and Employee Insights (EI). In TM&OA, we help our clients utilize evidence-based and data-driven approaches to define talent management strategies and programs that enable a client’s business to deliver results. Our focus is beyond individual processes – we partner with our clients to achieve real change through integrated, systems-oriented approaches.

Senior Consultant Talent Management (f/m)

The Role

In our Talent & Rewards Team, you will experience an international, highly demanding and high-energy environment. You get to work on multiple projects, both with national and international clients. You will primarily be responsible for developing new business, leading and delivering large, strategic client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients in your areas of subject matter expertise. You will also be asked to contribute thought leadership to the overall development of the Talent Management practice in Germany and Western Europe.

A few examples of main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Primary accountability for creating and executing a business strategy to penetrate the local and regional market, enhance brand recognition and introduce new clients to the firm to meet annual revenue goals

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell new products and services and coordinate with existing sales and Client Relationship Management teams to identify, develop and close strategic sales opportunities

  • Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize the penetration of key target market accounts

  • Lead and support talent management engagements

– Develop leveraged teams across areas of expertise that work together effectively

– D evelop plans for execution of large, global engagements

– Establish a trusted advisor relationship with clients and ensure superior relationship management

– Oversee multiple, complex engagements ensuring projects are staffed with appropriate resources, completed in compliance with quality standards on a

timely and profitable basis and client satisfaction is delivered

– Finalize and present quality deliverables to the client

– Serve as the senior talent management leader on projects, ensuring that the talent management strategy

aligns with the client’s overall human capital strategy

  • Work closely with the leadership to further develop the practice and intellectual capital

  • Demonstrate extensive leadership capability to effectively mentor other consultants and build breadth and depth of capability in less experienced consultants

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

The Requirements

  • Strong academic background, as well as significant experience consulting at Board level on talent management questions (across different industries)

  • In-depth knowledge of competency systems, performance management and talent management systems; practical, hands-on experience implementing new programs and systems

  • Polished and well-developed written and oral German and English communication skills required; ability to influence senior management and work across all levels of an organization

  • Collaborative working style

  • Superior analytical skills and understanding of human resource issues within major global organizations and entrepreneurial environments

  • Experience mentoring and building capabilities of junior associates
