The Business

Corporate Risk and Broking Retail

We provide appropriate and innovative Insurance Programmes for our clients. Our clients rely on us to craft strategies to quantify, mitigate, and transfer risk, taking advantage of our specialist industry experience and unparalleled market know-how.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to perform the broking role for a portfolio of clients and provide a superior level of client service supporting the business in the achievement of their objectives. Our Objectives are expressed in terms of Client, Financials, People and Operational Excellence.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop resilient client relationships and achieve an appreciation of each clients business and their culture

  • Provide excellent client service in an efficient, timely and professional manner including

  • Early and proactive engagement for renewals

  • Always providing best advise

  • Dealing with all mid-term alterations and queries

  • Support and find opportunities in the achievement of client retention, new business and growth of revenue from existing business in line with the teams objectives

  • Ensure that the Account Executive is kept fully informed of all significant client related matters

  • Foster beneficial Insurer relationships

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company procedures

  • Support and assist in the implementation of change to achieve continuous improvement in process, workflow and cost reduction whilst maintaining “best practice”

  • Support and assist in the implementation of Willis Group initiatives

  • Participate in project work in a positive and pro-active manner

  • Engage with all colleagues including new joiners in a supportive, friendly and professional manner, building relationships within your team and with colleagues in other teams both on and off shore

  • Provide technical and assist in technical training programme

  • Support the Line Manager in the supervision and authorisation of work

The Requirements

  • Strong client advocate

  • Passion for learning about and understanding the insurance industry

  • Hard working, proactive and flexible

  • Capable of solving problems

  • Good IT skills including a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suit

  • Good interpersonal, organisational, analytical and communication skills

  • Highly accurate with good attention to detail in completion of all tasks


  • Minimum CIP qualified with progress towards the ACII a distinct advantage

  • Previous experience and knowledge of performing a broking role for a portfolio of clients
